Triathlon has been a part of my life pretty much as long as I can remember. Even before I did my first kids tri at the age of 8, I remember watching my dad race in various triathlons around the country. I loved the sport from the beginning, and quickly joined a local kid’s team that helped me become competitive at the youth elite and junior elite level. I now race mainly draft legal triathlon in the pursuit of the Olympic Games, but Non-Draft holds a special place in my heart. In the past, I have loved racing Non-Draft and the challenge that it presents. I love going full gas and racing not only against others, but against the elements, and myself! Alcatraz is one of the classics, and possibly one of the most challenging races held each year, and I cannot wait to test myself on the course again!
