Q: Can I get a refund? 

Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. There are no additional rebates, refunds, or transfers for this event once your registration is confirmed.

Q: Can I sell my entry on Craigslist, Ebay, etc? 

NO. You cannot resell your entry. Any athlete caught selling, attempting to sell, buying or attempting to purchase an entry into the race on Craigslist, Ebay or through similar means or through a private sale is in violation of USAT Competitive Rules Section 3.5 as noted below and will be disqualified:

3.5 Unregistered Participants. a. Any person who participates in any portion of a sanctioned event without first properly registering and paying any required registration fee shall be suspended or barred from membership in USA Triathlon and barred from participation in any sanctioned event for a period of up to one year. b. Any person who in any way assists another athlete to violate Section 3.5a by providing or selling a race number to that athlete shall be suspended or barred from membership in USA Triathlon and barred from participation in any sanctioned event for a period of up to one year. Any second violation of this Section shall result in a lifetime suspension or ban from membership in USA Triathlon.

Q: Are there bike shipping services? 

TriBike Transport is the Official Bike Transport Partner for the Escape Triathlon Series. Some races may not be eligible.

Q. Are there bike repair services?

Bike repair service will be on-site race weekend and race day.

Q: If I register with my friend at the same time, do we get to start the race together?  

Yes, swim waves are self-seeded by preset time corrals (look for signage standards by estimated time).

Q: How can I make changes to my registration?  Can I switch distances?  Can I switch out a member of my relay team? 

Contact if you have any changes to or questions about your registration. There will be a increase in entry fees to move from the Sprint events to the Olympic event, and there is no refund provided for changing from the Olympic event to the Sprint event.

Q: Do I have to pick up my own packet or can someone pick up my packet for me?  

All participants must pick up their own packet. Participants must have a photo ID, signed confirmation sheet and USAT membership card (if applicable) to pick up their race packet. Packets will not be given to friends or family. Any participant signed up as a USAT member will be required to show his/her USAT membership card at packet pick up. Members who do not have their card will be required to pay the $15 one-day license fee. Cash/checks only; credit cards will NOT be accepted. If you have lost your USAT membership card, you can download a temporary card by logging into your USAT account at Note, all relay teams must pick up their packets as a TEAM unless otherwise specified. Every participant must sign a waiver.

Q: How do relay members get timed?  

The timing chip for the relay is passed from the swimmer’s ankle to biker’s ankle to runner’s ankle.

Q: Do all relay team members get a finisher medal?  


Q: How do I get my timing chip? 

We distribute timing chips in envelopes/packets with numbers and wristband at the Expo. All participants are required to wear the timing chip and strap. You must return your chip at the finish line or you will be charged $50.00.

To return a timing chip and strap via mail within 7 days of race completion (you will be charged $50.00 for chips not returned):

Q: How do you test the water? 

The event conducts regular water quality tests in the weeks leading up to the race.

Q: What is the projected water temperature?  

Temperatures will be taken the week of and day of the event so prepare accordingly.

Q: Will it be wetsuit legal?  

The use of wetsuits during the swim segment will be allowed, and is encouraged, if the water temperature on race morning is 78.0 degrees or less. If the water temperature exceeds 78.0 degrees but is less than 84.0 degrees, an athlete may wear a wetsuit but will be ineligible for awards and national ranking consideration. If the water temperature is 84.0 degrees or above the use of wetsuits will be strictly prohibited. We will make a decision about wetsuits on race morning. A USAT official will take the water temperature on race morning, which will then be announced in transition and the surrounding area.
